Medium power transformer capabilities
SGB-SMIT USA provides access to the SGB-SMIT Group’s full medium power transformer portfolio, manufactured across facilities in Regensburg and Neumark, Germany and Sibiu, Romania, including:
- Power ratings from 5 MVA to 200 MVA
- Service voltages up to 245 kV
- On-load tap changers with up to 22% tapping range, adjustable in up to 27 steps under load
- Off-load tap changers for voltage adjustment off circuit
- Common connection groups including YNd5, YNd11, Ynyn0, and YNyn6 with and without delta stabilizing windings
- Boltless cores of high-quality cold-rolled, grain-oriented transformer steel in step-lap technique
- Windings manufactured on modern horizontal and vertical machines with predefined tensile force and clamping pressure
- Corrosion protection selected to suit installation and environmental conditions
- Vacuum-proof and pressure-resistant tanks, expansion vessels, radiators, and bushings
- Optimized no-load and short-circuit losses and noise levels per project requirements
- Compliant with IEC 60076, VDE 0532, and all relevant international standards
